Plasmachemical processes induced by nanosecond pulsed discharge in liquid hexane were studied. Dehydrogenation of hexane was the major reaction pathway leading to unsaturated hydrocarbons of lower molecular weight (C2-C4) and molecular hydrogen. A large number of heavier saturated aliphatic hydrocarbons of different C7-C19 alkane isomers was formed due to recombination reactions of alkyl fragments from hexane. No carbonaceous products were detected.Workplace Institute of Plasma Physics Contact Vladimíra Kebza, kebza@ipp.cas.cz, Tel.: 266 052 975 Year of Publishing 2018
