Molekulární mechanismy zaručující přesné navádění axonů nejsou zatím jasně popsány, i když na nich závisí vývoj nervové soustavy a její následné správné fungování. Článek rozebírá současný pohled na regulaci navádění axonů a nově objevenou roli enzymů – prolyl isomeráz – v tomto procesu.
Molecular mechanisms regulating axon guidance are not fully understood, even though they are key for normal development and function of the nervous system. The article reviews current view at regulation of axon guidance and recently discovered role of enzymes – prolyl isomerases – in this process.
