Strontium phenylphosphonate was intercalated by 1,n-alkanediols (n = 2–4, 6–8) and 1,2-alkanediol (C1–C6). The structure of intercalates was solved by molecular simulations and experimental measurements (XRD, thermogravimetry, elemental analysis).
