AnnotationWe synthesized novel series of pyrimidine derivatives. Besides NO, the pyrimidine derivatives suppressed, though less effectively, the production of PGE2 and TNF-a. The data on mouse peritoneal cells suggest that the immunosuppressive properties of pyrimidines depend mainly on the presence of the 4,6-dichloropyrimidine scaffold.
