Detailed medical analyses have proved that negative light ions exhibit a positive effect on human health; conversely, a deficiency of these ions is known to cause fatigue, health problems, and poor work performance. A significant precondition for the evaluation of these effects consists in determining the concentration, polarity, and mobility spectrum of air ions in the given area. The measurement of air ion concentration can be realized via a wide variety of methods, including the technique based on the application of an aspiration condenser (AC). This research study presents a methodology for the measurement of air ion concentration using an AC and comprises the formulation of systematic and random errors.
