Higher plant cells represent an important group of eukaryotes where discrete sites for microtubule nucleation are absent and microtubules are nucleated from disperse yet undefined cellular sites. Forms of gamma-tubulin associated with nuclei, membranes and microtubules were characterized in plant cells. Role of gamma-tubulin complexes is discussed and compared in mammalian cells equiped with centrosomes and in acentrosomal higher plant cells
Buňky vyšších rostlin jsou acentrosomální a k nukleaci mikrotubulů dochází z dispersních dosud nedefinovaných míst. V rámci našeho výzkumu jsme charakterizovali formy gama-tubulinu asociované s jádrem, mikrotubuly a membránami. Role těchto gama-tubulinových komplexů je diskutována v kontextu živočišných buněk vybavených centrosomy a acentrosomálních buněk rostlin
