AnnotationThere was a repeated GPS surveying done on stabilized points of an observation station that was built in a mining area near Karviná. The GPS surveying was used to document the displays of mine subsidence on the surface above exploited coalfaces. A comparison of the modelled supposed subsidence and the subsidence measured by GPS was done and it has shown on some discrepancies. Presumably the main cause may be seen in the difficult geological and geo-mechanical situation that is not generally included in the modelling of the supposed mine subsidence.
