AnnotationMany polymer systems contain matrix filled with particles with very broad size distributions. Such systems are, for instance, high-impact polystyrene or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene wear particles. Morphological analysis of particles in these systems requires special treatment. This is due to the fact that the smallest and the biggest particles cannot be observed at the same magnification. We show that analysis of both low- and high-magnification micrographs with our own software MDIST yields the correct distribution of sizes and other morphological parameters.
