AnnotationPlasma sprayed Al2O3 and Cr2O3 are known their superior wear resistance.A proper understanding of the wear mechanisms is essential to achieve the highest wear resistance. In our recent work, the influence of WSPr water-stabilized plasma torch on the wear properties of Al2O3 and Cr2O3 coatings was studied. The results of wear tests on ceramic coatings were compared with wear test results.
