Cleavage of supercoiled (sc) plasmid DNA by restriction endonucleases and by deoxyribonuclease I was detected by means of AC voltammetry at mercury film on glassy carbon electrode (MFE). MFE modified with scDNA was used as a biosensor for detection of DNA-cleaving species.
