X-ray powder diffraction and microdiffraction, FT infrared spectroscopy, diffuse-reflectance spectroscopy in UV-Vis-NIR region (DRS) and voltammetry of microparticles were used to describe clay minerals and their structures with special effort to describe the forms of iron present in samples of bentonites and kaolins from eastern foreland of Doupovské Mts.

Prášková RTG difrakce a mikrodifrakce, FT infračervená spektroskopie, difúzně-reflexní spektroskopie v UV-Vis-NIR oblasti (DRS) a voltametrie mikročástic byly použity k popisu jílových minerálů a jejich struktur se speciálním důrazem na formy výskytu železa ve vzorcích bentonitů a kaolinů z východního předpolí Doupovských hor.
