Redox doping of carbonaceous nanostructures is easy, versatile and precise in terms of defined amout of doping charge. The Vis-NIR spectroelectrochemistry of single walled carbon nanotubes (SWNCT) points at reversible and fast bleaching of the electronic transitions between Van Hove singularities. A suggested interpretation follows from the electronic structure of peapods. Workplace J.
