Research is focused on the study of quantitative and qualitative aspects in the process of removal of algae organic matter (AOM) during water treatment using coagulation. The project is solved through two steps. In the first one, there is developed a methodology of “preparation” and determination of AOM. After standardization of the preparation and AOM classification, the second step focused on the study of removability of these products at water treatment will be carried out at the laboratory conditions using jar optimizing tests. The effect of AOM concentration on the dose of destabilization reagent will be investigated as well as the influences of application of destabilizing reagents and agitation conditions (intensity and duration of agitation) on removability of algogenic organic matter.
