Description in English The contribution has been focused on historical evolution of legal regulation of night work. Not only deals it with the sole night work and scope of working hours, but it also accents change in understanding the institute of night work during the time. Except from legal questions, to which it finds the answers in former as well as recent legal regulation, it further puts forward queries of a social, political-legal and to a certain extent of a moral character.
