    The aim of our study was focused on accumulation of toxic metals under hydroponic conditions by Allium plant species. The plants were cultivated on hydroponic medium supplemented by toxic metals at two different concentrations (50 and 250 microM). We observed a significant hyperaccumulation of cadmium by chive, garlic and three cultivars of onion.

    Cíl naší studie byl zaměřen na akumulaci toxických kovů rostlinami rodu Allium pěstovanými v hydroponických podmínkách. Rostliny byly kultivovány v hydroponickém mediu s přídavkem toxických kovů ve dvou různých koncentracích (50 a 250 mikroM). Pozorovali jsme významnou hyperakumulaci kadmia česnekem, pažitkou a třemi kultivary cibule.
