Violent destruction of Hillfort Kal (Eastern Bohemia) and its archaeological manifestation. The collection of metal finds from the Kal hillfort mostly from prospection with metal detectors shows the archeologic manifestation of the violent destruction of the stronghold (more than 106 arrowheads, 6 axes and some decorations of horse-harnesses or parts of horse-bits). The analyses of the distribution of the finds as well as dating of the bronze decorations has shown the act of violent destruction of the stronghold that was probably caused by the conquest of an army composed partially of warriors from the Avar Khaganate who used three-ribbed type of arrowheads. We could date the destruction to the end of the 8th century or to the beginning of the 9th century.
