AnnotationThe theoretical course with demonstrations and practical exercises for 30 participants covers modern methodology of light and electron microscopy, including the principles of preparation of biological samples. The course is also an introduction to the techniques of scanning probe microscopy (atomic force microscopy), super-reyolution light microscopy (SIM, STED , STORM/PALM) and their demonstration. The course is the only one of its kind in the country and provides the basic knowledge needed for qualified work with different kinds of microscopes. Emphasis is placed on advanced methods of microscopy and observation of processes in living cells. The course is included in elective courses PhD studies at several committees.
