AnnotationThe chapter analyses the three manuscripts containing Tandariáš, the Czech adaptation of Pleier’s romance Tandareis. It concentrates especially on the Brno manuscript (Moravian Land Archives, G 10, n. 510), addressed by the copyist in the XVth century to the male audience. The copyist followed up on the project of the Czech translator in the XIVth century, who proposed the romance as an exemplary and educating text dedicated to young men.
