Unique set of 3D coils of COMPASS is utilized to generate such EF from HFS, whose coupling to plasma is then characterised using MHD codes MARS-F and IPEC. The criteria for core and edge resonance correction necessary to avoid detrimental effects of these fields are presented and experimentally investigated.
