Vyjadřuje přesvědčení, že selhání Masarykova požadavku odluky církví od státu má neblahé konsekvence v podobě posílení konzervativismu a v privilegovaném postavení katolické církve, jež má ostatně symbiotický vztah k povrchnímu liberalismu. Autor tvrdí, že pouze konsekventní sekularismus je předpokladem rovného postavení různých přesvědčení a hodnotových orientací lidí a takto i jejich osobního sebenaplnění. Description in English The author confronts Masaryk's relationships to liberalism and to politically acting Catholicism on the one hand, with the prevailing „spirit of our time“ on the other hand. He claims that the failure of Masaryk's postulation of the disestablishment in the development of Czech society has unhappy consequences in the forms of reinforcing conservatism and in the privileged position of the Catholic Church which has – for what remains -a symbiotic relationship to superficial liberalism. The author claims that only the consequent secularism is a pre-requisite of equal status of various people's opinions and value-orientations, and therefore their personal self-fulfilment.
