AnnotationRepeated antisense therapy against Angiotensin II AT1 receptor had transient antihypertensive effects exclusively in young Ren-2 transgenic rats (TGR). The contribution of the renin-angiotensin system to blood pressure maintenance is highly important in homozygous TGR, whereas it is surpassed by sympathetic nervous system in heterozygous TGR
