    In this work we study a set of crystalline Ce-doped SrHfO3 powders obtained by acetate-citrate combustion. We used this technique to prepare samples with various Sr/Hf molar ratios as well as pure HfO2. The stoichiometry of the metals was used to perturb the host structure in order to better clarify the mechanisms involved in the optimization of Cerium luminescence, strongly depending on the matrix composition.
