Studie se zaměřuje na vokální a jevištní dílo B. Martinů a sleduje 1) rozhodující momenty skladatelova dětství a mládí do 20. let 20. stol., 2) "obrat" B. Martinů k českým a moravským lidovým zvykům a jeho motivům ve 30. letech 3) motivy pro skladatelův zájem o lidové texty a témata ve 40. a 50. letech 20. století.

The article concentrates on Martinů’s vocal and stage works and follows 1) experiences from composer’s childhood and youth until 1920s, 2) Martinů’s “turn” to Czech and Moravian folklore traditions in the 1930s, and 3) motives for Martinů’s intereset in folklore texts and subjects in his mature and late creative periods of the 1940s and 1950s.
