In this paper, new procedure of nonlinearity detection in material is designed. Procedure is based on experimental Time-Reversal of ultrasonic signals, which ensures sufficient excitation of nonlinearity. Multiplexed array of piezoelectric transducers is used for both wave transmitting and receiving, and a matrix of inter-element responses is measured. Nonlinear parts are approximately extracted by means of ESAM procedure. Position of nonlinear parameter maxims in resulting matrix determines the most probable defect location. The procedure has been applied on a complex aircraft part exposed to cyclic loading. Nonlinearity locations correlate with acoustic emission (AE) sources detected during the loading. Time reversal technique was also applied on the localized AE sources, which helped to AE signal deconvolution.
