The clusters of genes responsible for phenol and catechol degradation, pheA2A1R and catRABC, were cloned in the multicopy plasmid vector pSRK21. R. erythropolis strains carrying the resulting recombinant plasmids were shown to utilize phenol more efficiently than the wild-type strain. Positive effects of humic acids on resistance of cells in biofilms to aromatic substrates was stronger when the recombinant R. erythropolis strains were applied
Shluky genů odpovědné za degradaci fenolu a katecholu, pheA2A1R and catRABC, byly klonovány v mnohokopiovém vektoru pSRK21.
