The scattering of an electromagnetic wave from a cylinder fabricated from combined splitring resonator /SRR/ and metal wire medium that is characterized by an effective frequency-dependent permitivity and permeability than can both be negative in a certain frequency range and this constitutes from a left-handed /LH/ medium. The scattering with of cylinder is evaluated in terms of the most general form of the Mie coefficients for two polarizations.
