We developed reconbined human/pig skin (RHPS) composed of human keratinocytes cultured on acellular pig dermis. The RHPS is applied "upside-down", xith the epidermal cells facing the wound. The advantage of RHPS, in comparison with cultured keratinosyte sheets, is the skin-like consistency and thud higher resistance, easy handling and optimal adhesiveness resulting in a haemostatic effect. RHPS has been used successfully for the treatmanht of donor sites and deep dermal burns.
