The Proceedings include papers from the international conference covering themes mentioned in the conference title. Involved is at first one plenary paper on metamaterials, two invite papers dealing with a design of micro-ring and nanostructured fiber sensors. Forty oral and thirty-four poster contributions follow from field of components for sensor systems, fiber optical sensors, interferometric, integrated optic, and free-space optical sensors, chemical sensors and biosensors.

Sborník obsahuje práce z mezinárodní konference pokrývající témata uvedená v názvu konference. Je uveden plenární referát o metamateriálech, dva přehledové referáty zabývající se jednak návrhem mikroprstencových a jednak nanostrukturních vláknových senzorů. Následuje čtyřicet ústních a třicet čtyři posterových příspěvků z oblastí komponentů pro senzorové systémy, vláknových optických senzorů, interferometrických, integrovaněoptických a volněprostorových optických senzorů, chemických senzorů a biosenzorů.
