The sampling sites were the rural background site National Atmospheric Observatory Kosetice (NAOK), located about 75 km southeast of
Prague, and the urban background site Prague - Suchdol, located in a northwestern suburb of Prague on the premises of the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals (ICPF). The aerial distance between the sites is about 80 km.
