    Co oxide layers on stainless steel meshes were prepared by magnetron sputtering with direct oxidation of Co. The subsequent electrochemical deposition of Co hydroxides followed by calcination improved considerably the Co3O4 adhesion on the support. Activity of the prepared catalysts was comparable with that of pelletized Co3O4 having 50 times higher Co concentration.
