The text is a contribution to the international Political Data Yearbook. It describes political changes in the Czech Republic during the year 2017. The report focuses mainly on the 2017 parliamentary elections which resulted in a record-breaking 9 political parties in the lower house of the Czech Parliament and the subsequent formation of a minority government lead by a new prime minister Andrej Babiš.
