AnnotationThe gaseous (83)mKr will be used as a source of monoenergetic conversion electrons for systematic studies and calibration of the energy scale in the KArlsruhe TRItiumNeutrino experiment (KATRIN). Using all existing experimental data the adopted values of the electron binding energies for free krypton were established and the basic conversion electron properties in (83)mKr decay were compiled. Modes of the measurements with gaseous (83)mKr were suggested for KATRIN.
