Diamond nanoparticles (DNPs) due to its excellent properties such as chemical inertness, biocompatibility, and possibility of surface functionalization are promising for bioelectronics and biomedical applications. For well defined functionalization as well as for further applications, precise characterization of chemical groups on DNPs and their stability in time and under diverse conditions is of utmost importance. Here we report on a stability study of functionalized DNPs employing Grazing Angle Reflectance (GAR) FTIR.
