AnnotationThe most common side effect associated with Leksell gamma knife irradiation of pituitary is the development of hypopituitarism, however it is possible to prevent it by keeping the mean radiation dose to pituitary under 15 Gy and the dose to the distal infunfibulunm under 17 Gy.
