Detekce a monitorování této nemoci se provádí pomocí tzv. PCR testu a běžného kultivačního testu, přičemž při těchto testech je složitá příprava vzorků a nutný jejich transport do laboratoře. Předložený užitný vzor odstraňuje tyto nevýhody přenosnou testovací kartou, která je opatřena detekční vrstvou obsahující živné médium tvořené MYPGPn bujónem a chromogen 2,3,5-triphenyltetrazoliumchlorid (TTC). Vzorek včelího plodu nebo tzv. včelí měli se dostává do kontaktu s testovací kartou otiskem přímo ve včelím úlu, spadem měli na testovací kartu uloženou na dně úlu, nebo inokulací kapalného vzorku na detekční vrstvu testovací karty. Testovací karta je dále opatřena odnímatelnou krycí vrstvou z průhledného materiálu prostupného pro kyslík, případně i čtvercovou sítí pro odečtení počtu kultivovaných kolonií bakterií. Description in English The European honeybee (Apis mellifera L.) is subject to affliction by a disease known as American foulbrood, the causative agent of which is the Gram-positive bacteria Paenibacillus larvae which attacks bee larvae and pupae. This disease is detected and monitored using the PCR test and an ordinary cultivation test; these tests necessitate the complicated preparation of samples, and they must be transported to the laboratory. The submitted invention eliminates these disadvantages by using a mobile test card which is equipped with a detection layer that contains a nutrient medium consisting of MYPGP bullion with nalidixic or pipemidic acid and chromogen 2,3,5-triphenyl tetrazolium chloride (TTC). The sample of bee brood or bee debris comes into contact with the test card by imprint directly in the bee hive, by debris fallout on the test card placed on the floor of the hive, or by inoculation of a liquid sample on the detection layer of the test card. The test card is also equipped with a removable cover layer of transparent oxygen-permeable material, possibly also with a square mesh or deducting the number of cultivated bacteria colonies. Following the completion of cultivation, the test card with the sample can be stored in a frozen state.
