AnnotationThis paper summarizes extensive investigation of fatigue properties and microstructure of ultrafine-grained (UFG) copper produced by equal-channel angular pressing. Coppers of three substantially different purities were investigated at room temperature and a medium purity copper was in addition investigated at temperatures of 103 K and 173 K. Cycling was carried out under stress control. Fatigue strength is independent of purity in LCF region, while in HCF and VHCF regions its dependence on purity is very strong. Moreover, the fatigue strength depends on temperature and on details of ECAP procedure.
