Language eng - English Country GB - United Kingdom Keywords urban air pollution ; polycyclic aormatic hydrocarbons ; chromosomal damage Subject RIV EB - Genetics ; Molecular Biology CEZ AV0Z5039906 - UEM-P Annotation The effect of air pollution on chromosomal damage was studied in a group of policemen working in the Prague city, spending >8h outdoors, the controls were matched healthy volunteers, spending >90% daily time indoors. The method used was FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization) which seems to be more sensitive method than conventional analysis of chromosomal aberrations.
