The article is focused on the visual representation of men and women in the anti-globalisation movement by the alternative media. Particularly, two occasions are analysed: demonstrations in Prague (2000) and Genoa (2001). British and Czech alternative magazines are compared with using the method of content analysis and semiology. According to this research the anti-globalisation struggle is represented as gendered and traditional gender roles are reproduced in the alternative media

Článek se zaměřuje na vizuální zastoupení mužů a žen v antiglobalizačním hnutí podle alternativních médií. Analýze jsou podrobeny především na dva případy: demonstrace v Praze (2000) a v Janově (2001). Autorka srovnává britské a české alternativní časopisy metodou analýzy obsahu a sémiologie. Podle tohoto výzkumu je boj proti globalizaci prezentován jako genderový a tradiční genderové role jsou reprodukovány v alternativních médiích
