AnnotationThe genotype data at the GSTT and other loci are analyzed to try to understand the role of certain common metabolic genotypes in the variability of response among human beings to the genotoxic effects of PAH exposure. The results support the hypothesis that the GSTT genetic variant plays a role in mediating toxic effects from PAH exposures (in protecting oxidative DNA damage).
