AnnotationThe paper deals with multiple inscription of long-period gratings (LPGs) into single-mode optical fibers Corning SMF-28 and SMF-28e by a CO2 laser. The inscription method as well as the on-line measurement of the transmission spectra of the LPGs during the inscription are described. The relation between the parameters of multiple inscription and the transmission spectra of the LPGs is presented. The reproducibility of the LPG’s inscription process under the same conditions is reported too.
