The contribution focuses on laboratory simulation of real-life removal of degraded layers of
heat-affected concrete panels by means of hydrodemolition. Several concrete mixtures were
prepared. They differed in used aggregates, types of cement and presence of polypropylene
fibres. Degraded layers were removed by rotating continuous high speed water jet. For comparison,
the same process was used for the removal of surface layers of concretes which
were not thermally loaded. Resistance of concretes against water jet penetration was studied.
