The academic workshop was organized in the framework of the research project „Corporate Human Rights Responsibility in the OECD NCP case law“ funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) to which I was invited as a discussant. The aim of the workshp was to reflect on and analyse the interpretation of the corporate responsibility to respect human rights through the specific cases handled by National Contact Points (NCPs) under the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. During the workshop about 20 academics and practitioners discussed their research on corporate human rights responsibility in relation to different issues and different corporate actors, including the new concept of corporate human rights responsibility in emerging issues, such as climate change.
