Macroscopic austenite–martensite transition zones in thin superelastic NiTi wires subjected to stretching, twisting and their combination were reconstructed via diffraction/scattering computed tomography. The method allows to visualize spatial distributions of both phases from a series of X-ray diffraction scans.
