Během pravidelného archeologického dozoru nad skrývkou pro nový zábor cihelny při okraji Kostelce nad Orlicí byl objeven fragment řadového pohřebiště. K nálezu došlo v jižní straně záborů, tedy v blízkosti dalších pohřebišť, a to kultury se šňůrovou keramikou a popelnicových polí, pohřebišť, kde můžeme důvodně předpokládat existenci mohyl. Nalezené pohřebiště spadá do 11. století a je v okr. Rychnov nad Kněžnou prvním dokladem pohřebních aktivit tohoto období.

During regular archaeological supervision of stripping triggered by the extension of a brick clay pit on the outskirts of the town of Kostelec nad Orlicí, a fragment of a linear cemetery was discovered. The discovery was made on the southern side of the stripped area, i.e. close to other burial grounds belonging to the Corded Ware and Urnfield cultures. These are sites where it is reasonable to assume the presence of barrows. The newly discovered cemetery dates back to the 11th century and it is also the first piece of evidence in the Rychnov nad Kněžnou district of burial activities during this period.
