AnnotationThe main aim of our research is to pick up relevant data about textiles and textile waste streams and analyze the flows of these streams in the Czech Republic. Such an analysis can serve as a basis for optimizing textile waste collection and recycling systems. The part of the study is also an analysis of
the composition of textiles in MSW that can allow to estimate the potential in terms of recycling and achieve high recycling rates, and preliminarily results showed that there are about 3 % of different textiles in MSW. The main output of this paper is a Material Flow Analysis (MFA) that clearly shows all
the main textile waste streams in the country and ways of their processing.
