Description in English The study deals with the birth of court research in Czech historical science and on that basis draws attention to the key trends, which are favoured by the traditional linear interpretation of Czech history. It points out the discourses and paradigms through the lens of methodological concepts and narratives, which had a direct impact on the development or background of various research topics.
