    Existing group-theoretical approaches to collinear magnets are revised. A new kind of magnetic groups is introduced, which represents an alternative to the standard magnetic groups and to the spin groups. The introduced groups are used for a classification of collinear magnets based on the related magnetic Laue classes. Four of these Laue classes are found to be compatible with a nonzero spin conductivity.
