Práce popisuje vybrané případy nejčastějších typů balistické ochrany, včetně prezentace základních postupů používaných při jejich realizaci. Tyto postupy zahrnují empirický přístup, tvorbu analytických modelů a v současnosti stále více se uplatňující metody numerické simulace. Aplikace tohoto přístupu vyžaduje tvorbu spolehlivých modelů chování materiálů v podmínkách extrémně rychlého zatěžování, které jsou použitelné v současných výpočetních kódech.
The book deals with the main types of ballistic protection including the basic steps of their development.This development includes the empirical approach, mathematical and analytical techniques and namely the numerical simulations of the ballistic attack of different projectiles against to main armours. The different materials models describing material behaviour at strain rates corresponding to main ballistics attacks are discussed in details.
