Maral root extract has toning and immunostimulating effects similar to ginseng. It stimulates mental activity, helps the body adapt to stress, and has a positive effect on the activity of the heart and blood vessels. The healing and adaptogenic effects of teas, extracts and other products derived from these roots do not have to be based solely on their ecdysteroid-type ingredients. Their polyphenolic components can also be a carrier of the effects. For example, lignans and feruloylseratonins have shown anti-inflammatory effects in arthritis tests, or protective effects during oxidative stress in human neutrophils.
