BC coating by other materials, especially brown carbon (BrC) can lead to absorption enhancement and uncertainties concerning the estimates of BC radiative forcing (Wang et al., 2016). This study is a detailed characterization of aerosol absorption properties based on 5-years BC and Elemental Carbon (EC) measurements at a Central European rural background site.
